“Maui Moon depicts the historic whaling days of Lahaina, Maui, and its two worlds both above and below the ocean.  I would come to spend many years on small boats studying the whales in their winter home.  And I remember thinking continuously about the relationship between land and sea, man and whales.” - Wyland
